To Make a Paula Deen Halloween Costume You Will Need:
1 White wig
1 apron
1 button down shirt
1 pair of jeans
Make up
1 Cute pair of fun shoes
Tongs, platter of cookies....
The first step f to find a white haired wig to start your Paula Deen Halloween costume. Check out your local Halloween costume or costume rental shop for an affordable white wig.
Look for a wig that is cut short, in a style, and looks like you can fluff it a tiny but with some hairspray. In any case a platinum Marilyn Monroe wig will work. You can always buy some of that white spray on hair color they sell at Halloween to fix the color.
To fluff up your Paula Deen wig go ahead and place it on your head. Spritz on some hairspray and use a pick to fluff. Paula has very styled hair; so do not make your wig messy. You do want to make you white wig a little over the top though since this is a Halloween costume. Have some fun with it!
You can also try hanging your wing upside down a few days before you wear it to let gravity do the work for you!
Southern ladies always take care with their makeup, so to make your Paula Deen Halloween costume authentic be sure to try a few of these make up tips. First, wear some eyeliner and mascara. No true Southern girl would leave home with her eyes naked!
Powder is a must as well a little blush for a healthy and rosy glow. You should also wear a nice pink lipstick. You of course can make yoru Paula Deen Halloween costume as realistic r over the top as you want.
Now, often I see Paula Deen wear a nicely ironed blue button down shirt. That one is easy! Blue and a nice bright pink are great options. A white button down shirt would also work well for this Food Network Halloween inspired costume.
Now, on Paula Deen's website she sells some great cooking aprons. IF you are a huge Paula fan like me, you probably already have one. So, use that to authenticate yoru Paula Deen Halloween costume.
You can also buy a plain apron at your local Bed Bath and Beyond decorate it with puff paint to say, "Southern Cookin' Makes You Good Lookin!"
Now, finish off with jeans and some super cute shoes. Southern girls love the sensibility and casual touch of a comfy pair of jeans, but the fresh touch of some cute shoes. Go for a heel and some sparkle!
Told you it was easy! Don't forget to carry a platter of some of Paula Deen's Savannah Bowties with you to give out to everyone you meet on Halloween. When you dip the cookies in chocolate, try finishing them off by dipping in some black and orange sprinkles!
Don't forget to finish off with a big old rock on yoru wedding finger. You can use one of those candy rings!
Love ya Paula! You are my pick for the most unique Halloween Costume of 2007!
