All Professional Bull Riding fans remember the young Brazilian bull rider Paulo Crimber. PBR fans cheered him on to his 8 second ride knowing that he would do a very special "Paulo Dance" if he managed to stay on the bull for the 8 second ride.

PBR fans will recall the tragic accident back in June of 2008, in Orlando Florida, where Crimber broke his neck after tumbling off of a bull. This was the second time the young Brazilian bull rider broke his neck. Doctors, fans and even Paulo Crimber him self feared that his bull riding career was over.

5.4 seconds into the ride on a bull called Roughneck, Crimber was bucked off and landed on his head, neck and shoulder. The bull then proceeded to stumble onto him, possibly making the injuries worse. Fans watched in horror as team members and emergency personnel went to his assistance.

Paulo Crimber Always Hoped to Return to the PBR

Crimber began his career in 1998 and many thought he ended it in 2008. Crimber always hoped he would be able to compete in the Built Ford Tough Series of the PBR again and has been working towards that goal. For the past year he has been working as a ranch hand breaking colts.

Crimber has also stayed active in the bull riding scene since his injury in 2008. He has attended several of the PBR events and has also been a judge at some bull riding events. He feels he is finally ready to return to climbing on a bull for that thrill of an 8 second ride. He has tried a few practice bulls, and according to his wife, the spark has returned to his eye!

Paulo Crimber to Compete at Touring Pro Events

Paulo Crimber will start out competing at Touring Pro Events before he makes his much anticipated return to the Built Ford Tough Series of the PBR. He is already scheduled to appear at 3 Touring Pro Events. The first will be on Friday, January 7th in Bossier, La.

Crimber will also compete in two other Touring Pro Events, before he makes his first ride since 2008 in The Built Ford Tough Series of the PBR. The other two events will be in Denver and Pueblo Colorado.

Crimber's Long Awaited Return to the PBR

Fellow bull rider's and fans will welcome Paulo Crimber back to the Built Ford Tough Series of the PBR, in Anaheim California, January 21st and 22nd. The Anaheim Invitational will be held at The Honda Center, 2695 East Katella Avenue, Anaheim California.

If you cannot make it to Anaheim, California to watch Paulo Crimber's return to the PBR, you can watch it on the Versus channel of your television. It will air on January 22 and 23. If you have never watched the PBR, you may think staying on the back of a bull for 8 seconds is an easy feat. Ask any bull rider and they will tell you that 8 seconds is a very long time to stay on the back of a bucking bull.

According to the PBR Career Stats, Paulo Crimber has had nineteen 90 point rides. His average score is 84.7. He has qualified to go to the World Finals 10 times. Will 2011 be Paulo Crimber's year to dance after many successful 8 second rides? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, Paulo has the support of the entire PBR behind him, as well as many dedicated fans that can't wait for his return.
