Pavement Maintenance Will Close Some Streets in Birmingham

Birmingham will see some of its streets closed over the next couple of weeks as closings will begin on October 13 and last about one week. Work will include laying down asphalt over the current pavement on the streets to be closed; businesses on these streets will remain open during the construction.

Adams Road will be resurfaced from Madison Street north to the railroad tracks. Maple Road will be closed from Southfield Road to the east, to Pierce Street, which is about half way to Woodward. Pierce Street will also be closed from Brown Street south to Lincoln. Oakland Avenue will be closed from Woodward east to Worth Street. Lastly, Poppleton Street will be closed from Oakland south to Knox street.
