I've finally found
one of those park tables
topped with black and white chessboard tiles,
where old men fight ageless battles,
with pieces carved from ebony and bone.
It could be here that teenage lovers meet,
their lives brash like the Romantic games
of the 19th century,
full of starry-eyed sacrifice,
King's Gambit openings,
and a child, unborn.

Very well done!
Fresh imagination. I'm a player, too - of the board game!
Great Job!
