PPC links are the ones that come up when you do a Google, Yahoo, or Ping search and you see the words "Sponsored Links" to the right. The way that people find your PPC advertisement is with the keywords that you pay for. For example, if you have the key word "stock exchange" and someone plugs that into the search engine then there is a chance that your advertisement will be featured to the right. If it is and that web surfer clicks on your advertisement, they are taken to your website and you are charged a fee for the click.
This is where your website comes in. I can tell you that I have clicked many PPC advertisements only to be taken to a website that is either irrelevant or looks like a bomb hit it. Don't make that mistake with your website. The bottom line is that you have to pay for every click that a PPC campaign generates regardless of whether or not you make a sale.
You should always be reviewing your website and the way it looks. Make sure that there aren't any broken links or general spelling and grammar errors anywhere. Most of all make your website appealing. If you are going to pay for the click you have to make the most of it.
Think of the click as paying someone to come into your storefront. If you knew you had to pay that person either way wouldn't you be sure that your store was kept nice and neat and that it was appealing to the person you just paid? The same philosophy should be applied to your website with regards to PPC. Make the visitor think they are in the Ritz Carlton, not the Motel 8.
If you look at your website and see that it is need of some sprucing up, then you should do that sprucing up before you begin your PPC campaign. A PPC campaign can be a great way to get targeted traffic to your website and in turn give you a great way to boost your online business, but only if your website is up to par. If you have a terrible looking website then all you will be accomplishing with a PPC campaign is having a visitor, which you in essence pay to visit your site, click their way out of your website just as fast as they enter.

Nice job! I hate those sponsored links- they never seem relevant to what I was looking for.
