If you answered yes to either of those questions, congratulations.
You have the correct mindset to becoming a highly successful eBay seller. you may want to rethink your marketing strategy..There are many benefits to accepting PayPal.
Although selling on eBay can be a very simple process, there are a number of important factors that come into play. First, make sure that the items to you are going to sell are high quality. You will also want to have detailed descriptions as well as clear, high quality photopgraphs of them.
After you've gotten your description and photos, another thing that can be just as important, is how you accept payment. You will want to accept a wide range of payments, including personal checks, money orders, and PayPal.
Since eBay bought out PayPal, it has become one of the most commonly accepted methods of payment on eBay. However, there are still a fraction of sellers who don't accept it. This is, luckily, a minority.
Since you're going to be spending the time to open an eBay account, you might as well get a PayPal account also. It's quick, easy and you are more likely to succeed if you do accept PayPal. Of course, this is not saying you won't make money on eBay without it, but it is much simpler to access your money if you do. That is why it is extremely important that you at least look into getting a PayPal account.
Once you have gotten a PayPal account, you should decide if a personal account or a business account is right for you . Since you will be selling on eBay, you will want to get a business account. Although, the only difference between a business PayPal account and a personal PayPal account is the fee structure. Each time someone, namely an eBay buyer, sends you a payment, you will be charged a small amount. These fees will vary.
If fees are a turnoff for you, think about this. If you accept PayPal, you will make more sales and sell more higher priced products, as more eBay buyers trust PayPal as their online financier. Because of this, the fees will eventually seem minimal, and they easily pay for themselves overtime. Besides, you will still make a profit. Another benefit from using PayPal, at least from a business standpoint, is that it can even be tax deductible.
eBay buyers like to use PayPal for many reasons because it makes them feel more secure. They do not have to actually provide bank account information or credit or debit card numbers so no important information has to exchange hands. The information is stored in PayPal's secure system. eBay buyers simply have to follow the instructions on the invoice that you send them, enter in their PayPal sign in information, click a few confirmation buttons and voila... they are good to go.
