Much lower in fat and calories according to the label I was anticipating much lower taste enjoyment as well. The first time I tried PB2 powdered peanut butter I reconstituted two tablespoons of the powder with one tablespoon of water. I discovered that using a dull butter knife and a ½ cup measuring cup worked best. I spread my reconstituted peanut butter on Wasa bread with banana slices. Different but delicious. It reminded me of the filling in Nutter Butter cookies. Not necessarily a bad thing in my book!
The next morning I tried sprinkling a half tablespoon over my yogurt and granola. This turned out pretty good. Perhaps better with plain yogurt than vanilla flavored as I think PB2 powdered peanut butter tastes a little sweeter than the peanut butter I am used to.
The third use I found for PB2 powdered peanut butter was sprinkling it on ice cream sundaes. Wow. That was a nice mix of flavors.
As a chronic dieter in search of yummy treats that won't add to the poundage I found that mixing a packet of regular unflavored oatmeal, one packet of diet hot chocolate and a bit of the PB2 powdered peanut butter cooked together creates a tasty breakfast that is high in fiber, protein and taste but not a ton of fat and calories. It tastes a lot like no bake (preacher) cookies.
Instead of buying expensive protein drinks at the gym I come home and whip up a smoothie with skim milk, PB2 powdered peanut butter, a banana and a few ice cubes. This cool concoction revs me up without being overcharged for an energy drink.
Let's compare how PB2 powdered peanut butter stacks up against regular peanut butter:

Also noted on the Bell Plantation website is that PB2 is not involved in the peanut butter recall and is safe for consumers.
If you are a peanut butter lover like I am you should give PB2 powdered peanut butter a try. You might like it as much as I do!
