PBS Kids Network- Free Educational Tools for Your Pre-K Child (and Up)

Learning is a Beautiful Process

Renee Bagley
The PBS Kids network is a wonderful channel that helps to educate your children through online resources. It really is an impressive educational tool for preK age (and up). I use it as an online tool, and it has really helped prepare my daughter Zoey for school. My daughter started preK this year, and she loves PBS Kids. Her favorite shows are Caillou, Curious George, Super Why!, and Word Girl.

Great shows:
Your child can watch healthy educational shows like Curious George, Caillou, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Wordgirl, Arthur, Fetch, Barney and Friends, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, The Cat in the Hat, Sesame Street, Super Why!, Martha Speaks, Between the Lions, Maya & Miguel, Sid The Science Kid, Dinosaur Train, Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies, Cyberchase, and The Electric Company.

If you go to the PBS Kids website you can also find games, videos, or go to Kid Island where your child can play, explore, and read. They also offer free coloring pages that you can print out for your child to use at home.

You will find popular game topics with letters, dress up, dogs, math, and music. You will also find puzzles, numbers, and healthy eating tips. If your child is a Caillou fan let them check out Caillou the Paleontologist. Barney fans will enjoy the Imagination Castle, while Dinosaur Train fans can enjoy the Pteranodon Fishing.

Additional games that will help your child include reading games, literacy games, spelling, vocabulary, math, and science.

Getting your child interested and involved in the learning process is half the battle.
