Luxor Amun Rising Video Game Description and Game Play

Luxor Amun Rising involves matching colors of spheres (i.e. marbles) in groups as they roll in a trough onto the screen toward the pyramid at the trough's end. Gameplay involves shooting spheres from the bottom of the screen with the "scarab" toward the slowly rolling lines of spheres.

When a pair of spheres of the same color is struck by another sphere of the same color, the trio of spheres disappears. The goal is to match spheres into groups of (at least) 3 of like color so they will vanish before reaching the pyramid at the trough's end. As new lines of spheres roll down the troughs, opportunities to earn more points and extra lives occur.

Extra lives are earned when successful matches trigger Ankh coins to fall. Gamers must catch them with the scarab to earn extra lives. Also, procured falling gems trigger bonus points when caught. Collecting various other symbols bring special powerups to increase a player's ability to demolish all spheres.

The longer the video game is played, the more spheres roll down the trough and the faster the spheres emerge. Alas, if all spheres are not matched, they will reach the pyramid. This event results in the infamous "game over." But not to worry, gamers most likely earned an extra life or two with all that sphere-shooting and coin-catching. Ultimately, the challenge is to make all spheres disappear.

Luxor Amun Rising PC Video Game Options

The number of spheres rushing into the PC video game screen increases as gamers progress through the video game's 88 levels. Players may select preferred gaming play levels of "beginner," "intermediate," and "expert." The higher the selected play level, the greater the number of spheres. Also, the spheres' rolling speeds accelerate, thus increasing the challenge.

Gamers can adjust the volume of sound effects and music. Also, the Luxor Amun Rising PC video game can be played in full screen mode. Instructions are included.

I've played this game before. It's so cool. It's been a long time though. It's really expanded a lot since I played it. It's up to 88 levels now? Wow... amazing.
