Peace (Not Pride)

Dedicated to David (Web Wizard)

Lisa R. Strong
Lay down your armor;
Let down your guard;
Pride has no place;
In a peaceful heart;
Be firm and be strong;
Admit when you are wrong;
Fences that are mended;
Seem to last longer;
When we are accountable;
For what we say and do;
We should at first start small;
And forgive ourselves;
Extend it towards those who are close;
This will gain us compassion for others;
It keeps the dark one away;
We build a world of light;
It will radiate around us;
Showing by our example;
Not by just words that are spoken;
To ricochet off hearts of stone;
Others will want our peace;
To treasure for themselves;
And only then will love prevail;
And peace shall reign forever.

    This is very nicely written, Lisa. Very nice poetic image "Fences that are mended / Seem to last longer." Nicely done.
