Peace with Sunshine

As I sit and ponder looking up at the stars
I find myself wandering away from every day woes
Thinking of what imagines could be made in the sky
Drifting back to childhood ways and foes

Life seemed so much easier in years in the past
No worries of juggling money and the bills they don't pay
Worrying for our children and the life that lays ahead
Finding peace in our hearts that has seemed to fade away

I am told I don't smile as much anymore
That saddens me even more
I am trying to bring that back once again
To find that peace I must have been searching for

Life is good for me, don't get me wrong
God has been great to my family and given me such strength and hope
I long to be at His feet one day to express my gratitude
And I am finding the peace that helps me cope

I have found that friends come and go
Some are just there as a convenience, few are there forever
Lifes in the way of keeping the bonds stronger
I so enjoy the sunshine that God has given me in life and weather

................................and I hope it starts shining thru for all to see
