Peach Cobbler Quicky- A Peachy Recipe
You Will Need:
1 (15oz) can of sliced peaches in light syrup
1/2 cup of unsalted butter (softened)
1 cup white sugar (super fine)
1 cup of self-rising flour (Gold Medal is a good brand for this)
1 cup of 2% milk
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Optional: Old Fashion Vanilla Ice Cream
How to Make Peach Cobbler Quicky:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 9in. x 9in. baking dish (preferably glass) combine softened unsalted butter and super fine white sugar. Mix together with a wooden spoon until the butter and sugar make a light and creamy mixture. Add in the self-rising flour into the creamy mixture to create an even batter. Slowly add in one cup of milk, vanilla extract and a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Whip the ingredients together until the batter is even. Scoop out approximately 1 cup of the batter and put off to the side. Smooth the batter evenly over the bottom of the baking dish. Pour the can of sliced peaches over the batter. Slowly drizzle the left over batter over the peaches. Place in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until cobbler turns a light golden brown color.
Serve warm with a scoop of Old Fashion Vanilla Ice Cream.
Optional:
You may sing the song Peaches by The Presidents of the United States of America while whipping the ingredients together.
