Preheat oven to 350F.
Filling:
5 large peaches
1/3 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 cup butter melted
1/4 cup spiced rum or water
Slice peaches; remove pits. Mix all filling ingredients and pour into a 9x9 dish.
Topping:
3/4 cup oats
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1 stick butter
Mix all dry ingredients and cut butter into dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs. Pour on top of filling and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until filling is set and top is golden brown. Serve hot with cream.
