Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients

1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter

1/4 c. margarine, softened

1 1/4 c. sugar

2 eggs, slightly beaten

1 tsp. vanilla extract

2 c. all-purpose flour

1 tsp. baking powder

Method

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Generously grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish with Pam.

In a medium size mixing bowl, beat together the peanut butter and margarine.

Add the sugar and beat until well blended.

Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

Stir in the flour and baking powder. (Mixture will be stiff).

Press batter evenly into prepared baking dish.

Bake for 30 minutes or until the bar pulls away from sides of the dish.

Let cool completely in the dish on a wire rack.

Frosting

Ingredients

1/2 c. creamy peanut butter

1/4. margarine, softened

1/2 c. powdered sugar

Method

In a medium size mixing bowl, beat together the peanut butter, margarine and confectioners sugar until smooth and fluffy.

Spread over top of the cooled bar.
