My New Favorite Cereal

Description

Peanut Butter Bumpers Crunchy Corn Cereal by Mother's can be found in health food stores and natural sections of grocery stores. It is distributed by The Quaker Oats Company. There are 12 servings in the 14-oz box. I paid $3.49

Mother's cereals have been around for a while. The company was introduced as Mother's Oats in 1893. The company also makes a variety of other healthy hot and ready-to-eat cereals and rice cakes.

Mother's seems very committed to making healthy foods. According to their website, all of Mother's cereals are all natural, with no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or additives. Their cold cereals are sweetened with unsulfured molasses and honey rather than refined sugar.

The Bumpers cereals are geared towards providing flavors that kids will love. In addition to Peanut Butter Bumpers, the company also makes Cocoa Bumpers and Graham Bumpers. The back of the Bumper boxes have puzzles and quizzes for children to enjoy.

Taste

I ate this with rice milk and I thought this cereal was incredibly delicious. As soon as I bit into it, I tasted a burst of peanut butter flavor. It tastes similar to a peanut butter cookie but is very crunchy. I just can't get enough of this cereal. I found that it did get a little soggy as I was eating it but it was still somewhat crunchy. I still enjoyed it immensely though. This is definitely one of my new favorite cereals. My fiance also tried it and said that it's one of the best cereals he has ever tasted.

Final Analysis

I really enjoyed this cereal and would definitely buy it again and again because it is so delicious while still being healthy. I finished the box much more quickly than I do other cereals. I like the fact that it is sweetened with unsulphured molasses and honey which are more nutritious than white sugar. I think that this cereal may be a healthier choice than some of the more popular similar cereals found in the grocery store due to the fact that it has no added fat and is sweetened with molasses and honey. If I had children, I would definitely buy it for them as a healthier alternative to some of the other kids cereals on the market.
