Peanut Butter & Company Crunch Time, Review

I don't really like mainstream non-natural brand peanut butters. Their addition of hydrogenated oils and sugar to peanuts just never made much sense to me. The oil part made even less sense being that peanuts alone are fatty enough they surely do not need any extra fat. I know the extra oil helps the natural oils to not separate but is it worth all the extra unhealthiness. That being said my last peanut butter purchase went right along with almost everything I believe is wrong with most peanut butters. I purchased Peanut Butter & Company's Crunch Time Peanut Butter.

Peanut Butter & Company Crunch Time peanut butter has added oil and sugar, but it is at least on the technically more natural side where the oil is not hydrogenated and the sugar is not refined. I purchase this not fully natural brand over my normal pure peanuts natural brand because I continuously kept forgetting peanut butter at the grocery store so I just decided to order some from Amazon.com and have it delivered right to me. The only thing is Amazon does not sell the natural peanut butters, so I had to settle for the next best thing.

One of the small reasons I try not to buy the oil and sugar added peanut butter is because I have a tendency to eat it by the spoonful. It was no exception with Peanut Butter & Company Crunch Time peanut butter. It is smooth, creamy, delicious and just sweet enough. I especially love the abundance of peanut pieces. I love crunchy peanut butter and this Crunch Time lives up to its name and it super crunchy. Although, the bulk of the peanuts seem to settle on the top. It is a treat for the person who opens the jar first. The rest is still crunchy, but the top when first opened is a crunchy peanut butters fans crunchy peanut heaven.

One thing that makes me want to support this companies peanut butter is that the peanut butter is certified vegan and it even says it on the jar. I love companies that go out of their way to put a vegan certification on their products. One improvement I wouldn't mind seeing is having the ingredients organic. At the moment none of the ingredients are organic.

Even though the peanut butter with added oil is never my first choice I think Peanut Butter & Company Crunch Time will be my first choice when I do choose this type. I still prefer the natural ones more but I will definitely consider this one again. I will probably look more into their specialty peanut butters, like the flavor I tried in the past, and loved, called White Chocolate Wonderful. If you are a crunchy peanut butter lover then I would recommend giving Peanut Butter & Company's Crunch Time a try.
