Pearl Jam's Ten: A Classic '90s Music Review

Recently Epic Records re-released the debut album "Ten" from Pearl Jam, and after hearing this it brought back fond memories of my teenage years. I remember being 15 years old and getting turned on to the entire Seattle grunge rock sound through bands like Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, and Nirvana. Then shortly after that I started to feel a little old realizing it has been 15 years since those glory days of rock history, and Pearl jam and countless other bands that I adored where now falling under the genre of "Classic Rock".

Never the less "Ten" remains a strait forward grunge rock album of well written and produced songs from the former members of the band Mother Love Bone. Proving that even in the aftermath of tragedy that ended Mother Love Bone's music career as a band, the remaining members where able to rise above and create even more amazing music than before.

With great rock anthems like "Alive", and "Even Flow" to beautiful ballads like "Black", this album proved Pearl Jam's place as amazing song writers and set the cornerstone for their amazing career for years to come.

With well written and thought provoking lyrics from Eddie Vedder to Stone Gossards searing guitar solos and riffs this album is still great even 15 years later.
