Encanto Park is in Phoenix, and is also home to the Enchanted Island Amusement Park. You can rent a pedal boat starting at $8.00 per half hour. Children have to be at least 2 years old to come for a ride on the pedal boat, and those under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. Small children might also enjoy the Enchanted Island Amusement Park kiddy rides. There is also a train that the whole family can enjoy. Check the website for hours at Enchanted Island, as they vary. Between pedal boats on the lake, rides, and perhaps a picnic, your little one will be entertained all day!
One pedal boat will accommodate 2 children and 2 adults. The price is $20 per hour or $12 per half hour for pedal boat rental. However, Phoenix zoo members receive a 20% discount on pedal boats, so don't forget to show your card if you are a member. And, of course, by renting a pedal boat at the Phoenix Zoo, you will be supporting the animals at this non profit zoo!
If you pedal boats are not your thing, you can check out larger lakes that are not too far from the city of Phoenix, and where bigger boats and activities are available. Such places near Phoenix are Apache lake, Roosevelt Lake, Lake Pleasant, Saguaro Lake, Canyon Lake, and Bartlett Lake.
