According to Peelu, they feel it is a revolutionary breakthrough in dental care because it is a similar method that had been used for centuries by Indians, Africans, and Asians. The name they gave for this method of cleaning is called siwak or miswak. Peelu method claims to prevent plaque which of course leads to tartar build up. It whitens naturally without harming your gums or enamel. So it is very good for those who have sensitive gums.
I have been using it for a month now and am very satisfied with its claims. I do like the delicate cinnamon flavor I have chosen. It also comes in spearmint and peppermint flavor. The one thing you will notice is how soft it comes out. It is not a gel or a firm paste when it comes out of the tube unlike your other toothpaste. So you do want to be careful on how much you squeeze out at once. There is no lingering strong flavor or grit left in my mouth unlike most toothpaste. Personally, I like this especially because when I want to cook something in the morning for later that day, like Italian Sauce; I need my taste buds. With other toothpaste, I have to wait to brush my teeth because of their left over flavors in my mouth which distorts my taste buds. With Peele, I can brush my teeth and taste food afterwards.
There is no sugar, saccharin, or artificial preservatives. Best of all, there is no animal testing! You have to be careful these days with some of the toothpaste you will find because of the abrasiveness they have on your enamel, especially as we age you can't afford to lose our enamel.
The ingredients in Peele cinnamon toothpaste are:
Sorbitol, purified water, Peelu Fiber, Vegetable Glycerin, Titanium Dioxide, natural oil of cinnamon, Xantham Gum, Coco Glucoside, Glycerol Oleate which is derived from a natural source, and Tea Tree Oil.
I just wanted to try this Peelu out on a small scale therefore I bought the smallest tube which was three ounces for $2.69. There is a larger seven ounce size for $3.77 which I plan to get next. I bought this at LuckyVitamin. Com which is where I get most of my natural or organic personal care products because of their flat rate shipping of $5.95 up to ten pounds. LuckyVitamin.com also carries more of Peelu oral products like their tooth powder and chewing gum.
There is no American Dental Association stamp on it. However, they put their stamp of approval on the leading toothpastes which has SLS in it. So you decide what your preference is; will it be their stamp of approval or a chemical concern?

I had never heard of this product and was glad to see how well you reviewed it. The tips about its flavor and having to be careful not to squeeze too much out of the tube are very much appreciated!

You brought up some good points! Thanks for this review! I enjoyed. :-)
This is a great review. I wonder if it will take plaque away. My son in law has plaque on his teeth. You say it prevents it, but it might be worth a try to see if it actually takes the hardened plaque away. Thanks!
