Peggle Nights - PC Game Review

Walter Kovacs
Peggle Nights,a sequel to Peggle, is a ton of fun. It is similar in most ways, but there are some added differences. The graphics are still fluid, and the levels are still just hard enough to make you interested.

Peggle Nightsis the story of what the Peggle Skill Masters dream of in their sleep. For example, Bjorn, the leader of the Peggle Skill Masters, wishes he was a superhero while he is sleeping. The skateboarding hedgehog dreams about being a scientist. The storyline isn't really what's important though. The important part is that there are more levels to play. Peggle Nightsis basically a continuation of Peggle. If you liked Peggle, you are going to love this.

The graphics are just as good as they were in the original Peggle. There are a few aesthetic changes, such as when you go into Extreme Fever after hitting all the red pegs, there is a rainbow trail behind the ball. These changes are not completely necessary, but they make the game better in little ways.

There are also the challenges. There are many new challenges, simply because there are new levels. There are also just more challenges. There are ones where you are timed, ones where there is no free-ball catcher, and one where the ball you shoot goes twice as fast or twice as slow. This makes the game way more difficult, and it will take you longer to beat Peggle Nightsthan it took you to beat Peggle. The challenges are a great addition to this game.

In the end, this new version of Peggle is just an extension. All this new game is is a compliation of more levels. Though I don't suggest pruchasing this game if you already own Peggle, you should definitely get it if you don't. This game has all the fundamentals of the original fantastic game, along with more challenges, nice graphic changes, and basically more ways to have fun.

I would rate this game a 5 out of 5. I only rate out of 5 instead of 10 stars because this game is not really a full fledged game with a dense plot or a real storyline. I love this game, and I hope you try it. Don't buy it 'til you try, as I always say.
