Pelican Bay Premium Potato Chips

Recently I saw a product at Big Lots that I decided to purchase because it was different and the flavor appealed to me. In this review I will focus on The Pelican Bay Trading Company Premium Brand of potato chips in pepper jack cheese flavor in an effort to spread the word about this product and share my experience with other potato chip loving consumers.

I will admit that the price was right, I only paid $1 for a medium sized bag of The Pelican Bay Trading Company Premium Brand of potato chips in pepper jack cheese flavor. I tend to grow bored with your average brand of potato chips. Frito Lay chips almost always disappoint me with their lack of flavor and lack of new flavors. I always try to purchase different and more exciting brands of potato chips when I am able to find them.

My boyfriend was really thrilled with this brand of chips, but he is not at all picky and I have not found anything he does not like at this point. He thought The Pelican Bay Trading Company Premium Brand of potato chips in pepper jack cheese flavor were fantastic, he liked the flavor and the texture of these potato chips. When I tried one, my reaction was not as positive. At first I thought that maybe I was just coming down with a cold and it was messing with my taste buds. A few days later I tried another The Pelican Bay Trading Company Premium Brand of potato chips in pepper jack cheese flavor, and my reaction was exactly the same. I thought these were the worst tasting potato chips I have ever tried. They have a pepper jack cheese fragrance, but the taste is not like you might imagine. In my opinion, these chips had a very earthy taste. It seems to me that maybe the potato were not properly washed before being made into potato chips. I could literally detect the flavor of dirt. It was quite gross.

I probably would not purchase The Pelican Bay Trading Company Premium Brand of potato chips in pepper jack cheese flavor or any other flavor again. I found the entire experience to be quite gross. I would also not recommend The Pelican Bay Trading Company Premium Brand of potato chips in pepper jack cheese flavor to anyone else. Despite the flavor being different, it is also unique and not in a good way unless you frequently crave the taste of earth and dirt.
