Pelosi or Bush: Who Has Gone Too Far?

Deez
OK folks, lets break this down with the use of some commonsense. I'll try to leave the political rhetoric behind and try to be fair and balanced (like Fox but different).

First lets look at Syria and what their "perceived" interests are. It is in their "perceived" interest to exert as much control of the region as they can. They hate the fact that the "WEST" helped create Israel. They detest the fact that the "WEST" has so much Hegemony in the region. There is no way they can take on Israel or the "West" head-on, they are not strong enough. With their religious and political ideologies they view themselves as a pseudo "French Resistance" when it comes to these issues and they will continue their Jihad unless there is an alternative presented to them by the "WEST". We have to give them an alternative that they can rap their ideologies around. If we continue on our current course, they will never stop interfering in the affairs of the "WEST". Why should they, they feel we have no right to be influencing anything in their Muslim part of the world, especially when all we do is threaten and coerce (take a close look at your history) them.

With such an extreme sects in control in that part of the world what choices do we have? Well let's explore this for a second.

The first option is to do what Bush has done. Isolate our country from the entire world using Lies, Bully Tactics (no communication, my way or the highway), illegally forcing our hegemony in the Middle and Near East by the use of force, blockades, mass murder, and sanctions by our other tool the U.N.. As has been made painfully apparent that's not working out like Old "W" would have liked. I think he (Bush) way over estimated the will of the Muslim world and their hatred of us. They will never stop fighting us unless we kill every Muslim man, woman and child and just take the damn oil that we covet so much. If Bush wanted to use his military he should have used it, if you get my drift (no political correctness and no mercy). That is the only way we can have peace in the region using Old "W's" strategies.

What is the second option? O.K., lets explore this for a second.

The second option may just be to let the new congress and their leader Nancy Pelosi take a shot. Nancy is a pro, she is a communicator, she's open minded, she thinks outside the box, and she's willing to discuss alternatives. When something doesn't work what does any successful, reasonable person do in real life? They look for alternatives, build bridges that were burnt, try to open the lines of communication and work for a solution. Does that mean we have to abandon Iraq, Israel, and Afghanistan? Absolutely not! Maybe if we put as much effort into working with "Rouge Nations" as we do beating them with our Unbeatable Military and our big stick of influence, we could work towards a successful solution to all our problems. Hell, she can't make things any worse. I say give her have a shot! I say lets give this new Congress a shot! We already know we can't trust Old "W" maybe we have found someone with whom we can place our trust.

Pelosi and Bush are both big government wackos, both do it through scare tactics, one just uses terrorism to scare us, the other global warming and poverty.

I've got two words for you Deez, Neville Chamberlain. I rest my case.

Deez, my only real issue is that the Constitution clearly dilineates foreign policy as directed by the President with oversight and ratification of treaties by the Senate. Pelosi has no business and no expertise in foreign policy.

    Sounds good to me!
