Self-Help
I have at long last chosen a nom de plume...
At the risk of seeming rather silly, I have taken a pen name. Granted, I have nothing published at this time, so one might wonder why I bothered. It is simply important to me. The primary reason is that I simply want a name of my own...kind of like Virginia Woolf's 'room'! I needed a sense of self...no ties to ex-husbands or an estranged father...just me. Susan. And what a perfect surname...Sonnen. It is German (from what I read), meaning of a happy character or living in a sunny region. Perfect! So, may I introduce myself as Susan Sonnen, formerly known as Susan Singleton...
