Penelope Cruz and Other Stars on the Walk of Fame Starring in Summer Movies

Penelope Cruz recently got a star on the Walk of Fame, but the sexy 36-year-old is one of many celebrities starring in upcoming summer movies that have had the amazing honor bestowed upon them.

Her "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" costar Johnny Depp was on deck at her Walk of Fame ceremony, and he's no stranger to the sidewalk of stars -- he got his own spot on the Walk in November of 1999. Captain Jack will be back with a sexy swashbuckler portrayed by Penelope Cruz on May 20.

Actor Kevin Bacon got his star on the Walk of Fame in 2003, and fans of the man with a meaty name can see him in two meaty summer movie roles: as Sebastian Shaw in "X-Men: First Class" on June 3 and in the romantic comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love" alongside Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Julianne Moore on July 29.

Harrison Ford also got his star in 2003, and there are actually two bearing his name (although one actually refers to a silent film actor named Harrison Ford). He will be appearing in the sci-fi/western movie "Cowboys & Aliens" on July 29.

The movie "The Zookeeper," which hits theaters on July 8, 2011, is loaded with the voice talents of celebrities with stars on the Walk of Fame -- Adam Sandler (who got his star earlier this year) will be voicing a monkey; Cher (who received hers along with Sonny in 1998) will voice a giraffe; and Sylvester Stallone (who was honored with a star way back in 1984), will voice a lion.

Tom Hanks was awarded a star on the Walk of Fame in 1992. He'll be appearing with Julia Roberts (who declined a star) in the movie "Larry Crowne," which focuses on a man who heads back to college and finds himself hanging out with a group of outcasts. The movie hits theaters on July 1, 2011.

Cameron Diaz got her star in 2009, but don't expect her character to be deserving of any honors in "Bad Teacher" -- she'll be playing a foul-mouthed educator out to replace her sugar daddy with a rich substitute teacher on June 24.

1999 star recipient Kevin Spacey will also be playing a bad character in "Horrible Bosses," which hits theaters on July 8. He'll be starring as an intolerable boss alongside Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell, while Jamie Foxx, another celeb with a star on the Walk of Fame (he got his in 2007), will play an ex-con that advises three friends( Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, and Charlie Day), on how to rid themselves of their evil workplace overlords. The movie hits theaters on July 8, 2011.

In the May 6 superhero movie "Thor," 2003 star recipient Anthony Hopkins will play Odin, the ruler of the realm of Asgard. He stars alongside Chris Hemsworth as the titular hero cast out of his world and onto earth.

So if you plan on visiting these celebrities' stars on the Walk of Fame this summer, you might also want to plan on seeing some of the movies that they'll be starring in soon.
