Penny Pincher Electronics Shopping for the Holidays

We'll be going over six electronics shopping destinations for the budget conscious shopper. There are plenty of electronics retailers out there, whether they be on the internet or old fashioned brick and mortar stores. The shopping aspects we'll being going over is price, convenience, and overall experience. Now lets go look at these electronics retailers so you can get that deal for whatever electronics product your looking for.

Walmart

When it comes to price Walmart's performance is not the lowest but fair especially when there's a special, the price usually turns out more than fair and that's mostly any product in their inventory. Walmart's price on electronics is only slightly lower than their competitors but you don't have to worry about unknowingly buying something that's refurbished. When it comes to convenience , I frequently found there inventory doesn't last very long. There site to store pickup is awesome and free which eliminates the costly shipping fee that comes with home delivery. Overall Walmart is my first stop when it comes to purchasing electronics seeing something online, and then going too a traditional store to try it out is hard to beat. Its likely that if you live in the U.S. a Wal-Mart won't be to far away from you.

Micro Center

Specializing exclusively in computer electronics from custom systems to a vast library on every kind of software. You can't visit this store and not find what your looking for, signing up for their electronic circular would be wise as they frequently have hard to beat deals on their products. There pricing is probably better than most merchants mentioned in this article. But if refurbished products are not your thing I suggest you read all the fine print that surround the product description. As there aren't many retail stores there online counterpart is more than adequate in looking for a deal, overall there staff is very knowledgeable and there inventory is pretty well stocked even on their specials.

Tiger Direct

A great strictly online alternative to Micro Center comparable even in pricing is good old Tiger Direct. If for some reason Micro Center is out of stock or doesn't have what your looking for Tiger Direct is virtually an online clone of Micro Center. They have a helpline that you can call with any questions about products and pricing or looking for something on there online store. When it comes to convenience the regular wait to have some thing delivered is pretty much average. But overall if your looking for deals in electronics stopping buy Tiger Direct won't hurt.

New Egg

A well designed web site with decent prices customer service is excellent. When it comes to convenience there expedited delivery is a plus but adds to the overall price on the product your purchasing. My experience with this seller has been quite good so far and an honorable mention in this article.

Best Buy

Of course everyone knows about this retailer price and product selection are nominal more main stream electronics with plenty of walk in stores. Once in a while you'll find a worthwhile deal worth delving in. There web site is a good place to visit when shopping and overall decent retail merchant when it comes to electronics.

Costco Wholesale

Of course there not truly a wholesale merchant there prices are always lower than most other retailers as long as you purchase a membership with them. The physical stores are not very good as far as selection goes but their prices most notably on their video game console bundles are something to look twice at, knowledgeable staff are not a high point of this retailer. (maybe because they have that warehouse theme going) Overall if you have a membership I'd definitely visit this electronics merchant.

You may also want to visit the Sears electronics clearance section at a physical store, at least before and after the holiday season you'll be surprised at what deals you can find.

Good luck on finding that electronics deal!
