People of the American Empire

Poetry About the People of the American Empire

Ali Atayev
We are the people of the American Empire.

We are men and women who choose to employe those who would lead us,
protect us, give us security of mind and body.

To be the enemy of the American Empire is to be damned,
your damnation are our bombs, our planes, our marines.

Our angels of death.

Unleashed, the extent of thier mercy will be only death.

They do not waiver, they do not pause, they know no fear.

This is our decree, our pride and our security.

We allow our leaders to employ our angels of death in the name of our security.

For we are collectively simple.

Appeal to us, and we shall show you mercy and justice.

For we are collectively simple.

Do not attempt to appeal to our leaders, they are deaf and blind.

Do not attempt to appeal to our angels of death, they know only to kill.

Appeal to us, we are not killers. We are not deaf to mercy, we are not blind to injustice.

Appeal to us and know salvation.

Everything else brings damnation.
