People Matter

Even the Least Matters to God

God makes us in his own image. We are powerful indeed, we can move mountains and create skyscrapers. Or we can cause death and destruction. Are we to play God when we are to be precious children? Whatever we do for the least, we do for Jesus. We need to have faith to give and know that we are doing the right thing.

God wants us to encourage others, to give unconditional love and to give freely of ourselves, our time, our energy, our love. I may not have become rich becoming a Christian, but I have faith that God will see my love and reward me.

When we give of ourselves, it is Faith, when we help or listen to a lonely person, it is really saying, Jesus cares. I have found my heart grows weak at religious songs, I weep with joy. God has cured me of an illness that I couldn't have done alone. I need to stand strong and speak of my faith to others so that they will come to the Lord.

God says, "Be still and know that I am God." There is so much wisdom in the natural world. If you still your heart, you will see wonders and miracles that your own business couldn't create. I know too well of busyness. I am queen of doing. But I have been working on my Being.

I was president of Scribblers Literary Society, I was a board member of the Long Hill Community Center. I am a member of the Lions Club and volunteer there. I joined the Republican Club recently.

But I know that God has something in store for me. He didn't whisper dreams of greatness in me to just sit on the sidelines. He didn't whisper desires to be great without giving me a way to fulfill them. He puts seeds in our hearts, we can either nurture them. Or let them whither.

If you were called to lead, don't say, what can I do? I'm just so and so. Each of us was called to the Lord to do something in his honor. Not my will but your will be done. We need a servant attitude. The slings and arrows will come. But we need to have Faith and be strong for the Lord.

When you share your meal or commune with those that are hurting, you see a change. A spark of hope. You see their hopes and dreams come to fruition. You see the fear subside, to know that God does care and that He's there, guiding us to be Holy and pure.

You matter, your neighbor matters, those that are hurting matter. It isn't the depression or the anger, that hurts, it's the loneliness of not having community, of not being a part of God's plan. We need to live to glorify God and not for our own glory. And then, we will become servant leaders.

Loving others draws us closer to God. I haven't been famous, but God has made me feel precious anyway.
