Doers
We all know people who talk a lot about what they will do, but never really follow through with their goals. Never start anything with these kinds of individuals. Instead, the people you should partner with in business are doers. They may not always have the brainpower necessary to understand what is necessary, but they can learn and will also get necessary tasks done.

Squares
Remember that boring guy (or gal) you ignored in high school? Give him a call. He's the type of person you should partner with in business because he won't bring any drama. He has a clean lifestyle, probably a bit of wisdom and lots of stability. All of these things can bring longevity to any business as long as you have a good idea.

Opposites
People just like you can't make up for your deficits. For example, if you're a people person, you should partner in business with a numbers guy. This type of union will bring balance to what ever you do. In addition, through your work relationship, you'll learn to appreciate that you can't do everything by yourself and need others to win in life.

Yeah-sayers
You should always partner in business with people who are "yeah-sayers", in other words, positive. Starting any venture is risky and requires a visionary's mentality. So, you want to join forces with someone who sees the cup half full, not empty. Also, there's nothing worse than hearing for 8 hours a day about what you can't do; this kind of environment just brings everyone down.

Ex-entrepreneurs
Do you know anyone who had a start-up in the past that went belly under? This is one of the people you should partner with in business. Although most new businesses fail, the men and women who brush themselves off and learn from their mistakes usually succeed the second time around. Find one of them and benefit from their know-how. They can usually tell you what will and what won't work, so you avoid making a lot of mistakes.
