People of Wal-Mart: Is it Funny or Just Plain Wrong?

Everyone Needs a Laugh

Jeremy Ross
At the end of August 2009 a website was created with the sole purpose of showing off people who shop at Wal-Mart. The site is called People Of Walmart peopleofwalmart.com/These are not the average shopper by any means...at least I hope not. I am not too familiar with Wal-Mart since there are not many nearby and the closest one is about 20 minutes away. The pictures on this site are of people who look funny, are doing something over the top, or just need to be made fun of. I understand and hope these are not the average shoppers of Wal-Mart. Frankly, it does not matter one way or another. These people are just plain funny and are sure to get a reaction from you when you see their picture.

Is peopleofwalmart.com/ a bad thing?

I believe the answer is no. However, I can understand why others will completely disagree. Maybe this site hits home too hard with some people. Maybe they do not take pleasure if mocking other people. The characters on this site probably do not know they are being made fun of via this website. I think this is harmless fun since no actual names are being used. It is just pictures with funny comments and captions.

Why do I like peopleofwalmart.com/?

Peopleofwalmart.com is absolute hilarious. I cannot stop looking at the site. I visit it multiple times a day and just laugh. These pictures are so ridiculous. There are mullets, captain Americas, and swastikas. I am always surprised. My reaction is never, "this is boring and not funny." It is always, "I must show this to people such as my friends because this is crazy, incredible, or just plain wrong. "

What are some of my favorite pictures on peopleofwalmart.com/?

First off, this list is constantly getting larger since new pictures are added daily. My favorites include: the guy who is wearing see through white pants, which make his underwear visible, the lady who is wearing a sweatshirt with a swastika on it, which is just plain wrong, and the overly fat lady who is doing a split and did not split her pants. These are just a few of my personal favorites, but there are much much more that make up this list.

What are my suggestions for you regarding peopleofwalmart.com/?

Everyone loves to laugh. Laughter makes us happier and helps us feel better. Give peopleofwalmart.com a chance. I did, and I will never regret it. I have not stopped laughing and I am constantly being shocked by the shoppers of retail giant Wal-Mart. If you love to laugh give peopleofwalmart.com a chance.

I disagree with the people who moan about the site being cruel. It's not as if it makes fun of people with unavoidable conditions like simply being ugly, it's people who make themselves weird looking, so fair game. Thanks for the review.

This was great, thanks for the smiles! I figured I would check some articles out real quick before I go and do stuff with my kids. Hopefully I will be back on A.C. in a few days.

I can relate to writing something like this. It's funny - hopefully people can laugh at themselves, as well.

Jeremy, I went and checked this out, and it really is a hoot. I especially like the guy in the jersey and pink shorts. Actually, they make our shoppers here in Mississippi more normal.

As far as it being "wrong", these days if you go into public you assume you're being videotaped somewhere. So I figure whatever you do, your not ashamed of it, so you're fame game.
