Perfect Beach House Getaway in Pacific Beach, WA

Just Hours from Seattle and Portland

Shawna Straub
When most people in the Seattle area think of the "going to the beach" it's usually Ocean Shores, WA or Westport, WA that comes to mind as it's only a 2 hour drive to either one. What they end up running into is a crowded beach with only sand dunes as your landscape and the local area stores that carry the same items with the same tired restaurants. Crazy drivers on the beach that seem to care less about the beachcombers than doing donuts in the sand and moped drivers that consider the beach their race track.

Where can a family go and truly enjoy the setting, the beachcombing (not to mention 100% less litter), the surf, sun, and sand? How about 18 miles North to Pacific Beach?

Pacific Beach is part of the North Beach and is Washington's preciously best kept secret. It is the new home of Seabrook (www.seabrookwa.com), a popular resort town in the making that has come far strides in the last 24 months. They will be opening the Seabrook café in late summer 2007 and will have other amenities for locals to enjoy as well as cottage owners.

Two minutes from Seabrook is main street Pacific Beach which is the home of the Wacky Warehouse, other boutiques including the newly opening 59 Main (owner is Miss Robyn from the Seabrook family and will feature a "starbucks" quality espresso café) and a couple of restaurants like Paddie's Perch and Pacific Tango which feature great seafood and true Pacific Beach atmosphere. Moclips is located less than a mile away and hosts a wonderful resort called Ocean Crest where the dining is elegant and a full pool and work out facility means fun for the kids without sand in their shorts.

So where is a family to stay in Pacific Beach to really enjoy the scenery with a full ocean view and have enough room for the kids to play and have their own space? Try Surf's Up vacation rental at (www.pbvacationrental.com). They have the following amenities:

Luxury furnishings, Gas BBQ, Deck, Garage, Gourmet kitchen, Slate Walk In Shower, Ocean view, Outdoor shower, Game Room, TV - DVD, Hi-Speed Internet, Nintendo, Utility room, Washer/Dryer/Dishwasher, Gas Fireplace, Access to Ocean Crest Health Spa
(Pool/Jacuzzi/Sauna and Massage Available)

This three bedroom ocean view home was built in 2006. The first level includes two spacious bedrooms, a full bath, laundry room, and game room out in the 2 car garage. The second level hosts the great room, dining area and kitchen in an open floor plan. Enjoy the gas fireplace while relaxing in the great room or unwind in the king bedroom suite with an oversized slate walk in shower for two. The queen suite on the lower level offers a slider with access to the covered patio and the second bedroom has two twins and Nintendo/TV/DVD.

The gourmet kitchen boasts granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and a gorgeous slate floor. The large wrap around deck is perfect for barbequing, entertaining, or enjoying the sunsets and listening to the crashing waves. Neighborhood beach access is just moments away for clam digging, finding shells, or a bonfire on the beach to roast marshmallows.

Only 20 minutes away you can enjoy some adult entertainment at the Quinnault Casino and there spa facilities and dining are incredible. Take in a band, do some gambling and then head back to the Beach House for quiet and relaxation. Surf's Up makes the perfect destination for getting out of the city and truly connecting with the beach.
