If you know an angler who goes out on the water by himself, he should have an automatic inflatable life vest to wear at all times.

A USCG approved Type V life vest is very slim and lays flat against the chest. It is lightweight, and comfortable. It features an automatic 6F inflation, with a manual backup if necessary, when immersed in water. It also has 420 denier high-tenacity ripstop nylon, pliers pocket, and solar reflective tape. Typical buoyancy is 35 pounds and meant to float anyone over 16 years old.
