Perfect Red Lips in 4 Easy Steps

Linda StCyr
Getting the perfect red lips is something anyone can do. A few simple steps can have your lips a beautiful shade of red that lasts all day long.

You will Need:

Beyond Color Lip Conditioner

Glimmersticks Lip Liner in Red Brick

Red Lip Stick

Matte Concealer

Lip Brush

Step 1-

Make sure lips are smooth and free from chapping by using lip condition. Many makeup suppliers sell lip conditioner which is used daily to keep lips smooth, free from cracking and conditioned. Smooth lip conditioner over entire lip area and press lips together. Recommended lip conditioner: Avon BEYOND COLOR Plumping Lip Conditioner SPF 15 with Double the Retinol which plumps lips as well as conditions them.

Step 2-

Line the outside of lips with red lip liner. The best lip liner to use is one that is cream based. This will help prevent feathering of the lip color and help your lip color last longer. Outline the upper lip and lower lip. Fill in the lips with the red lip liner making sure to get inside the lip crease where the corners of the mouth meet. Recommended lip liner: GLIMMERSTICKS lip liner in red brick.

Step 3-

Wait a few seconds for the lip liner to set on lips then add lip stick coverage. Start at the top bow of the lips gently pressing the color on top of the lip liner. Sweep across the bottom lip. Press lips together to make sure the color covers the entire lip area. For long lasting lip coverage consider using Perfect Wear Extralasting Lipstick in eternal flame or enduring wine both of which are brilliant red colors.

Step 4-

Make your red lip color pop out by dipping the lip brush into the matte concealer you are using. Gently sweep the lip brush along the outside of the lips. This will help prevent feathering and clean up any lip liner or lipstick that may have gotten outside the lines.

Blend the concealer away from the lips with the lip brush.

Smile, you now have perfect red lips fit for a night out on the town!

Great tips! My face isn't complete until I'm wearing lipstick, and red is my color. I'll take your advice.

Not something I need, but you seem to break the process down for those who do.
