Perfect Skin

Age, oil and sun are all factors that go along with battling your skin. Hormones and diet are also contributing factors. At age thirty I have good genes, but I am still prone to break outs and my skin rivals that of a prepubescent teen's just with the onset of future wrinkles. I have been researching for the past four years and I would like to share my knowledge with you for having beautiful skin well into your thirties. I hope some of these ideas work for you and save you the pain and suffering I had to endure.

First of all this article is for those with normal to dry skin, that is sensitive and prone to breakouts. I have perfected my beauty regimen and believe this to be the best way to take care of sensitive, aging, dry, acne prone skin.

First of all I get white heads all the time. This is trapped dirt, oil and make up that appears in the form of oily white bumps in your pores. I am lucky enough to have small pores though so that is good. I do not really bother washing my face in the morning due to the fact that I do not have time. I put on a little moisturizer with sun screen ( choose one that is oil free) I love Oil of Olay.

Next I always use a mineral powder foundation. I combine the expensive ones with less expensive. I use the cheaper one under my eyes and the more expensive one on the areas I more prone to break outs, like on the cheeks, chin and forehead, then I blend them into each other.

Sticky lipglosses have a tendency to shift, so I have cut back and only use a tiny bit. I was wondering why I was breaking out around my lips.

I find any other foundation clogs pores and my skin just can not handle that, so I have done away liquid foundation completely and have noticed a huge change in my skin.

I drink a lot of water to rid the skin of impurities. Add lemon or lime to your water for flavor.

Finally the face washing routine: I love Oil of Olay's products. Pick the one that matches your skin's needs. I use "total effects". The thing about switching cleansers that I have learned through trial and error is that you have to use it for a month or so before your skin gets adjusted to it and you begin to see the results. I was swapping up cleansers thinking that one or the other was causing me to breakout when lo and behold all the different elements in each cleanser was making it impossible for the skin to adapt to new ph levels.

Stick with one kind of cleanser, this is key, then keep the moisturizer the same as well. I also skip the toner in the winter because its just too harsh for my dry sensitive skin but I do use it in the Summer around my hairline and neckline.

Use a mix of sugar and peppermint all natural essential oil to scrub with warm water (gently for about 3-5 minutes or so)and exfoliate the whitehead sto keep your face free from break outs. Wash and moisturize your face every night and change your pillow case often.
