As with most card tricks, this one starts out as a "pick a card, any card" type of trick. In these types of tricks, you will fan out the cards and ask a participant to pick a card, any card. Once they have done so, take a peek at the bottom card on the deck. You might turn your back to the participant so you can't see his card, and peek the bottom card. You might look at the bottom card while squaring up the deck after the card is chosen. You might even just take a look when cutting the deck. Whatever way you chose, all you need to know is the bottom card. Bury the card with the rest of the deck. The card you memorized is now right on top of the chosen card.
Control your flipped card.
Inform the participant that you're going to show them that you've not done anything tricky just yet. Fan out the entire deck face up, to the right, so that all cards are visible. Ask them to look at the cards and make sure that their card is still in the deck. As they're doing this, you should look for your card. Remember that your card is next to theirs? Given the current set up of the cards, yours will be just to the left of their card. Remember what their card is, but only for a moment. You should worry more about where their card is rather than what it is.
When they're satisfied that their card is still in the deck, pick up the fan. When you do this, you're going to secretly cut the deck, moving their card to the top of the deck. Do this by starting at the right hand side and pick up all cards up to and including their card. Now, starting from the left, pick up the rest of the cards. Place them all together and flip the entire deck face down. The card you originally remembered is now once again the bottom card, and the participant's card is now the top card in the deck.
Reverso the Flipped Card Trick.
Tell the participant that without looking at the cards, you're going to pick their card. You're going to do so using only touch. Place the deck behind your back to start performing this card trick. Once it's out of sight, flip over just their card, so that it is face up. Cut the deck. This puts their card somewhere in the middle, where they remember it being.
Bring the deck to the front again and place the deck on the table (either face up or face down, it's up to you). Fan the cards out as you did before. One card in the deck will be facing the wrong way, and this card is their magic card. If it's facing up with all other cards facing down, say "That's your card." If their card is facing down with all other cards facing up, ask the participant what their card was. After they tell you, turn their card face up.
