Perform Suryabhedi Pranayama to Cure Many Severe Diseases

Taru Mehta
There are some special types of pranayama exercises that can be used to cure some special types of diseases. Such special exercises can be used to cure particular disease in an individual. Such persons have to perform these exercises in addition to standard types of pranayama as explained in my earlier articles. Suryabhedi pranayama is one such pranayama exercise that is used to make your heart beats faster, and the body becomes active and full of energy. It also helps in reducing the weight of the obese persons. It also cures the menstrual diseases of women, improves the digestion and the flexibility of the intestines. It also retards the aging effects in an individual.

The procedure of doing this pranayama is to sit in yogic posture with both hands resting on the knees with the thumbs touching the first fingers of the hand. Close the eyes and achieve the desired concentration to start the pranayama. Breathe in through the Right nostril. Retain the breath and perform Moola Bandha and the Jalandhar Bandha as explained in my earlier articles, retaining your breath inside. Moola bandha is done by raising the perineum part between the anus and the genital organ stretching up and thereby raising stomach region upwards. The Jalandhar bandha is done by lowering your neck in front so that the chin touches the pit of your neck. Then, finally exhale through the left nostril after releasing both the bandhas one by one. Go on repeating this exercise for around maximum 10 to15 times per day. Gradually increase the time of the breath retention to the maximum period of around 30 seconds in such a way that each of the bandhas can be done and released comfortably without any major stress. Try to perform this pranayama for 3 to 5 times in the beginning and then, slowly increase it to around 10 to 15 times a day.

This pranayama must be performed after anulom-vilom pranayama and not in any other slot or opening. Never try to perform this single pranayama as it is highly heat generating exercise. The patients of severe high blood pressure have to do this pranayama without retention of the breath. The bandhas also may not be done by such people. One must restrict the time limit of this pranayama during peak summer. However, it can be performed to its maximum time limit in winter. One can start perspiring by doing this pranayama in an open environment even in a severe winter just by doing this pranayama for around 10 to 15 times with holding of the breath up to around 25 seconds each. This perhaps was the reason how the ancient yogis were able to sit in snow cladded Himalayan region without any clothes for years together.

This pranayama has an ability to increase the confidence of an individual, removing any feelings of inferiority complex. The face of the individual becomes shining, lustrous, and the body remains full of energy all through the day. The skin diseases and the blood impurities are also getting cured. The diseases like intestinal worms, leucoderma, leprosy, and the depression are also surely cured by doing this pranayama. The key point in this pranayama is to increase its intensity very gradually, avoiding the overdoing at any cost. All these benefits start coming within a period of around 2 to3 months of doing this pranayama. Looking to so many benefits of this unique pranayama, one must start it as soon as possible without any delay. Some discomfort signs may be felt in the beginning of starting this exercise. However, just ignore them and continue doing it without any break in between.

I strongly urge all my readers to start doing this unique breathing exercise in order to remain fit and healthy all throughout the life without any medicines and the doctors.
