There are 9 stars left competing for the season 13 win. Fans want to know: who is going home tonight?
Last week Kristin Cavallari and her partner, Mark Ballas, were sent home. The theme this week is iconic movie scores. During rehearsals everyone was severely stressed out.
Celebrities in the audience: Cher, Courtney Cox, Dr. Phil (is he really a celebrity, no), Bruce Jenner, and Kris Kardashian-Jenner.
Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani - (Last week they tied for second place). This week they danced the tango to "Mission Impossible." Their performance was unusual but Chynna has never looked better. Tony was suspended from the the ceiling for the entrance, and they seemed overly up tight during the performance. Len Goodman said they needed to maintain the dance and character throughout the dance, and he said there were a lot of mistakes. Judges scores: 21 out of 30.
David Arquette and Kym Johnson - They danced the Paso Doble, inspired by "Raiders of the Lost Ark." He admitted he has dyslexia and that all the left and right dancing information seems to jumble. But when he steps on the stage, he is a professional, every time. He doesn't flub him moves, he knows them, and it is impressive. Carrie Ann and Bruno loved the performance. Len Goodman said he liked the entry and Arquette's attitude. Judges scores: 23 out of 30.
Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya - They danced the Vienesse Waltz to "The Curse of the Black Pearl," from Pirate's of The Caribbean. He was completely made over to where he was unrecognizable. Seems like Carson needs to work on his lines and posture. Carrie Ann Inaba thought it was his "most butch performance." Len Goodman said there was no technique or quality of performance. Judges scores: 20 out of 30.
Nancy Grace and Tristan Macmanus - (Last week 2nd to bottom of judges leader board). They danced the Paso Doble to the "Flash Gordon" theme song. She did a lot better this week. Len said the dance lacked expression and excitement. Carrie Ann was the only judge to notice her technique and improvement. Judges scores: 21 out of 30.
Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy - (Last week they impressed with the cha cha cha). This week they did the Fox Trot from "Toy Story." Bruno called the performance lovely. Carrie Ann said it made her smile the whole way through. Len said "you could go all the way in this competition." Judges scores: 24 out of 30 (highest score of the night so far).
Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke - This week they danced the Paso Doble to the theme from "Superman." He certainly looked the part of Clark Kent, very much so. Wow, he did a fantastic job. Carrie Ann said the way he moves is very strong and "the way a man should be in the ballroom." Judges scores: 24 out of 30 (tied for the top of the leader board with Hope Solo).
Ricki Lake and Derek Hough - (Last week she was at the top of the leader board for the second week in a row). This week they danced the Tango to the movie theme for "Psycho." I really liked their performance this week it was full of steps and technique. Len said she "always delivers." Judges scores: 29 out of 30 (giving them the first tens of season 13).
Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer - (Last week made the bottom of the leader board, for the second week in a row). This week they danced the Paso Doble to "Rocky." Richard Simmons trained Chaz it was really funny. The heat was on with momma Cher in the audience. Chaz did a wonderful job getting all the steps in, twirling Lacey, and he seems to be gaining his endurance. This week he gave a full performance and the crowd loved it. Bruno said no matter how many knocks he takes he keeps coming back. Carrie Ann cried and said she is rooting for him. Len said he is getting stronger and it was his best dance to date. Judges scores: 21 out of 30.
J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff - (3rd place last week on judges leader board). This week they danced the Fox Trot to the "Pink Panther" theme. Their performance was fun to watch. Carrie Ann thought the performance was okay, but the performance fell flat. Len said "this was the best male dance of the night." Judges scores: 26 out of 30.
Tonight, on the results show, we will hear performances from Susan Boyle and Blake Shelton. And Julianne Hough returns to the "DWTS" stage. Stay tuned for more updates!
