I eventually found black phoenix alchemy lab. I was never into the whole gothic scene so I was a little hesitant but I got bored with my old perfume and wasn't using any perfume at the time so I got three of the imp's ears which are just very little samples. They are about the size of any other perfume sample vials. I was kind of annoyed when I got these because they were $3.50 each and I guess that's okay but I thought they would be whole lot bigger than that. Anyways, I have the scents shanghai, bobhan sith, and eve.
Eve and shanghai smell just about the same. I'm not sure how to describe this scent but they kind of smell like a bathroom cleaner. I didn't find them offensive at all, but I would not like to smell like that. I found that the scent faded rather quickly, after about 30 minutes, and I couldn't really smell anything. Why would I spend money to smell like a bathroom cleaner for 30 minutes? I didn't like them at all.
Bobhan sith had the strongest smell. And I didn't like the scent either. It smelled like an orange peel and it was really strong too. After half an hour, I began to smell powdery, like a baby powder, which I don't really want to smell like. I actually didn't hate this as much. But, the orange peel smell wasn't the fresh orange peel scent that I would like; it was kind of like the candles. I guess I would say that it has that waxy smell to it that I don't really like.
I think I listed all the stuffs that I don't like about these perfume oils. But, there are some clearly good reasons why anyone would buy these perfumes. First of all, as you may have noticed, they are truly unique. If you go to their website, blackphoenixalchemylab.com, they have this black and white website that I find unique and alluring. Also, they have stories for every perfume oils that they sell and even though they don't really explain what it smells like, it makes the product interesting. And, they have a lot of perfumes available on their site. I didn't count them but there are so many of them. With my initial disappointment, I don't think I'll ever spend any money on them, but I think there will be at least one that I might love out of all of them. So, if you are looking for a unique line of perfumes that will put the edge on you, I can't think of a better one than the black phoenix alchemy lab's perfumes.
