Perry's Recalls Peanut Butter Ice Cream

Perry's Ice Cream Company Recalls Peanut Butter Goods

Charisse Van Horn
Headquartered in Buffalo, New York, Perry's Ice Cream has voluntarily recalled their peanut butter ice cream goods due to the Salmonella Outbreak. The outbreak has been linked to six deaths and over 470 illnesses in 43 states. Though Perry's Ice Cream Company has not been directly linked to the illnesses, they do use products manufactured by the Peanut Corporation of America. The PCA has previously recalled over 150 lots of contaminated peanut butter and is the source of the Salmonella Outbreak.

Though the Peanut Corporation of America does not directly sell peanut butter goods to the consumer market, they do sell to companies who then use their products in their food stuff. Along with Perry's Ice Cream Company, Kellogg's, King Nut, and Hy-Vee have also voluntarily recalled several of their peanut butter goods.

Perry's Ice Cream distributes to several states and those affected by the current recall include: New York, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The products being recalled are:
