Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup Look

With a history that was once richer than the world's pocketbook, the Persian culture demonstrates why they are the epitome of eminence, panache, and refinement. Despite the Persian culture being quite ubiquitous in the world today making up for over 80 million of the world's overall population and demographic, Persians are considered a pan-national group.

When it comes to separating fact from fiction, there is no way to separate a socialite from a Persian because the two just balance effortlessly. If you attend an a-list party or a high-end revelry, more than likely you will see at least five Persian socialites at those events. Although one my say that it helps to have money when engaging in a socialite lifestyle, the reality is, you don't have to be filthy rich to be a socialite. In fact, by classification, a socialite is a person who participates in any event on a social wavelength. By using their social skills, socialites develop instantaneous friendships with people of all ranks.

As a woman who is Persian who is often dubbed as a "socialite", when it comes to creating this amazingly fantastic inspired makeup look, I have decided to emphasize on a striking look that is not only simple, but wearable just about anywhere you go. Whether you are attending a dinner party at a friend's house or you have a date with a potential Mr. Right or you want to go out to the club, you are destined to not only love the Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup look, but appreciate it, that much more so, as a result. Let's get started!

FACE

First and foremost, you want to begin the Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup look by priming your entire face. Because this look is relatively dramatic, you want to use a primer simply because you want your makeup to last a long time. Any primer will work, however; if you are interested in knowing a great foundation primer, one of my favorite foundation primer's is definitely "Smashbox's Photo Finish Foundation Primer". You want to spread this evenly all over the face and let it set for about a minute.

As you continue, you want to apply your concealer, followed by your foundation. Although one may apply their foundation before their concealer, you can do this step anyway you want to do it. Using a cosmetic sponge, I am going to apply my concealer, followed by foundation. You can use a concealer brush, if a cosmetic sponge doesn't work for you.

For this look, I am going to use "Mac's Select Cover Concealer" (I am an NC42, however; if you want to find your shade, you want to get matched at your nearest Mac Cosmetics counter). For my foundation, I am going to use "Make Up For Ever's HD Invisible Cover Foundation" in 160 Golden Beige. You can use any foundation and if you do decide to use the one that I am using, make sure that you are matched appropriately at your nearest Make Up For Ever (commonly known as MUFE) retailer. Using a foundation brush, you want to apply your foundation all over your face.

As you continue, you want to take a cosmetic sponge and blend everything together. I am going to use a Beauty Blender (which is available at Sephora) because it works amazingly to blend. The Beauty Blender starts at about $20 and depending on what set you purchase, goes up in price. This is entirely optional, however; if you want an astonishing blending product, Beauty Blender is clearly the best.

Setting is definitely key to this look coming together. As you proceed, you want to take a translucent powder and apply this all over the skin. If you are confused as to what a translucent powder would be, it is simply a powder that is visible, but possesses not individual shade, color, or pigment. This is frequently used to set finishes to create a powder finish that is natural looking. For this look, I am going to use one of my favorite setting powders "Laura Mercier's Smooth Focus Pressed Setting Powder".

If your skin is fair or medium, in order to achieve color, you will want to use a bronzer. Depending on your individual skin tone, as well as, skin type, you want to choose a shade, as well as, product that is right for you. You want to stay away from shimmers simply because for the Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup look, you are going to be using a luminizer. Luminizers possess shimmer, so using a bronzer with shimmer would simply be too much.

The cheeks should be gold, with a hint of pink meets peach. For this inspired makeup look, I am going to use two blushes. One in cream form, followed by one with a powder finish. The gold shade should be cream based, rather than powder based. For my gold shade, I am going to use "NARS Cream Blush" in Gold Member. Gold Member is a gorgeous and very pigmented striking gold. Using a cosmetic sponge, you want to apply your Gold Member (or your gold shade) on your cheeks, followed by your chin, your nose, and forehead. The pink meets peach shade should be in powder form. For my blush, I have chosen to use "NARS Blush" in Orgasm which is a stunning peachy pink shade with shimmer. Using a blush brush, I am going to apply this on the apples of my cheeks, brushing the excess slightly all over my face.

EYES

The Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup look is primarily made up of gold shades, making it a look that is imaginative and unparalleled. You want to begin by priming your eyes. For this look, I am going to be using "Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion" in Greed. Greed is a shimmering gold eye shadow primer. If you know anything about Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion, you will know that it is one of the best eye shadow primers in the beauty market.

What I love about this inspired look is the fact that it is wearable, yet powerful and daring. For this inspired look, I am going to use two primary eye shadow shades, followed by a highlight. The first shade should be a pigmented gold shade that has more of a pearl finish. The second shade should be a dark matte brown. The highlight should be a shimmery pale gold shade.

Representing the Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup look, I am going to use "NYX's Ultra Pearl Mania Pigment" in Yellow. Yellow is more of a bright gold than it is a yellow. Using an eye shadow brush, you want to take that gold pearl shade and apply it all over the lid, going past the crease. You don't want to take this shade into the brow bone, as that will be for the highlight shade.

As you continue, you want to take an angled eye shadow brush and apply the darkest shade on the outer corners of your lids. For this look, I am going to use "Lancome's Color Design Eye Shadow" in Couture. You don't want to apply this all over the lid. You want to blend this out (also known as "smoke"). Then, using a crease brush, you want to take this shade and apply it into the crease. You can also add a little bit of this shade on the bottom part of your eye, just make sure it doesn't look sloppy.

Finally, to complete the eye shadow part of the Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup look, you want to apply your highlight. Remember that the highlight shade should be a very pale, yet pigmented gold. For the highlight, I am going to use "Mac's Eye Shadow" in Nylon.

When it comes to wearing liner, you want something dramatic. For this look, I am going to refrain from using black simply because the goal is to be dramatic, yet wearable. The liner should be a dark brown, almost black. For today's look, I am going to use "Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Liner" in Caviar Ink. You want to use this eyeliner product on the top part of the lid and the bottom. Then, using a regular pencil liner, you want to connect the sides to form a v, which will create a cat eye appearance.

Your eyebrows should look dramatic in color, but should also be natural looking. You don't want to use a pencil, let alone a retractable pen for this look, however; you can use a cream or gel base, as long as it is natural and waterproof. For this look, I am going to use "Illamasqua's Eye Brow Cake" in Vehement. Keep in mind that not everyone has the same color brows, so you want to use the shade that works right for you.

Although mascara primer is optional, I am going to use it before I apply my mascara simply because I want my mascara to last longer. Nothing is worse than mascara smearing all over the place, making a mess. You know what I mean? For this look, I am going to be using "Sephora's Tricks Of The Trade Perfecting Lash Primer". If you decide to use a lash primer, you want to let the lash primer set for about a minute.

The mascara definitely plays a very important role to making this look come together. For this Persian inspired makeup look, you are definitely going to want to use a modest amount of it. You are also going to want to use black. For the Persian Inspired Makeup look, I am going to use "Dior's Diorshow Iconic Mascara" in Noir.

I don't use false eyelashes. In fact, as sad it is admit, I have never wore them ever, let alone tried to apply them, so I am uncertain how to wear them. These are optional. If you are a woman that suffers from minimal to sparse eyelashes, I do recommend them. If you do use false eyelashes, just remember to apply mascara over top of them so they look more natural than faux.

LIPS

The lips should be pink, yet nude. You want the lips to be instinctive, nevertheless visible. You want to begin by lining the lips with a nude lip liner. This can be any nude lip liner. I am going to use "Make Up For Ever's Aqua Waterproof Lipliner Pencil" in Nude Beige 1C.

Because the lips should be pink, yet nude you want a lipstick that is matte followed by a gloss. For the Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup look, I am going to use "Mac's Lipstick" in Kinda Sexy. As you continue, you want to apply a golden pink pearl gloss. For this inspired look, I am going to use "Mac's Lustreglass" in Pinkarat. There are many dupes for this shade, so you don't have to use this particular product. This is just what I am using to create the Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup look.

The Persian Socialite Inspired Makeup look is complete. If you want your makeup to last even longer, you can use a makeup spray medium. My favorite is definitely Mac's Fix+ however; there are so many on the market today that work great (Make Up For Ever, Urban Decay, Kat Von D, etc) Whether you are African American, Caucasian, African, Australian, Hispanic, European, or Asian, you are destined to be apart of the Persian persuasion.
