Deanna Samaan
Valentine's day doesnt have to be all about Roses and candies, sometimes it is just the idea, and the romance that is important. The dozen roses can be great for a girl but what abiout giving to a guy? When I was first married, our first valentine's day together I was at a lost what do I give my husband, stuffed animals are out, I could do a a box of chocolate, but didnt seem personal enough. I ended up making a mosiac box and inside was lots of his favorite candies. It was the personal touch I wanted to give and it was masculine enough that he appreciated it. So here some valantine day crafts you can make that will give a meaning you want to give.

Chocolate Kiss Rose Buds recipe
Red and silver foil-wrapped kisses
Clear plastic wrap
Floral wire
Green floral tape
Artificial rose leaves

Put a silver and a red kiss base to base. Center a piece of clear plastic wrap over the tip of the red one and stretch it tightly down over the kisses, gathering it at the tip of the silver kiss. Twist the end of a 12-inch piece of floral wire around the plastic wrap to secure it. Wind with green floral tape, beginning at the twisted wire, wrap up and around silver kiss then spiral back down covering wire stem and tucking in artificial rose leaves about an inch below the bud and one or two more spaced further down the stem. Continue wrapping stem wire until the entire length is covered.

Scoop of Hugs and Kisses recipe

Hugs and Kisses Candy
Clear or Colored Plastic Wrap

Fill the scoop with candy hugs and kisses. Cut a large piece of plastic wrap. Set the scoop in the middle of the plastic wrap. Fold the plastic wrap over so that the two ends meet at the scoop handle. Pull the plastic wrap tightly around the scoop and gather around the handle. Tie a ribbon around the handle to hold the plastic wrap in place.
