Personality Trait of an INTP: Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Percieving

John Kim
You have all heard of Einstein right? The genius who discovered the theory of general relativity and much more. He has the personality trait of an INTP. INTPs interact with the outer world observing the big picture. They use their mind to process information logically and abstractly. INTPs analyze new ideas until they understand every little piece. When they only start with a small intuition, they end up making a whole new field of ideas. They are most likely to be titled genius out of all the other personality traits.

INTPs are 1% of the population, being one of the rarest personality type. INTPs are haunted by failure just like ENTPs. They also spend a large amount of time second guessing themselves. They like to argue with others like ENTP, but they always argue with themselves. INTJs act more confident in their competence and are more willing to act on their conviction, while INTPs aren't always confident that they are always right because they need to make sure every little part is correctly analyzed.

INTPs have the ability in solving extremely complex problems. These genius people hate it when the result isn't an accurate answer. For an example the law of uncertainty, which limits the accuracy of measuring the position and the velocity of an electron. The INTPs always want exact and correct outcomes in their ideas. The INTPs are happiest when they are on the brink of discovering the intricacies and elegance of a complex system. They are trapped in their mind being oblivious to the world around them, yet the most brilliant of all the personality types.

Socrates was another famous INTP. INTPs have a talent in creating philosophies and theories. Another example of a INTP is Issac Newton, who came up with the idea of gravity. INTPs are natural born geniuses and end of with great jobs. It would be a waste for an INTP to be working somewhere that doesn't involve thinking. When INTP realizes something hasn't been solved they go in and try to solve it. Once they have successfully solved something to the point where it has nothing more to offer, they become bored and move on to a more difficult problem.

Just because they love solving difficult problems, does not mean they always can. There are somethings that even INTPs can't fully understand. Usually because it is really complex or have some exotic mystical element that can not be analyzed with todays technology. They aren't satisfied by the completion of an understanding, but more satisfied by the process of analyzing it.
