Pet Bombling is a non-combat pet that can be obtained through crafting as an engineer or purchasing from one of these players if your character happens to be of another profession. In order for an engineer to craft one of these Pet Bomblings, they will first need to acquire the schematic which drops off the boss Mekgineer Thermaplug in Gnomeregan at a rate of 100%. This recipe is bind on pickup, so you cannot find one on the auction house or trade with another player and it requires 205 skill points in the engineering profession in order to learn. Once the recipe is learned, the pet can be crafted using a Big Iron Bomb, Heart of Fire, Fused Wiring and 6 Mithril Bars. Since the crafted Pet Bombling does not bind when picked up, it can be traded to players or sold on the auction house for profit, typically selling around 90 gold pieces, although this fluctuates from server to server.

Pet Bombling is a unique companion that is reminiscent of the Bob-Omb character from the Super Mario Brothers video game. The model of the pet is highly detailed with robotic feet attached to a midsection which is essential a claw holding up a bomb with a lit fuse that makes up more than half of the total size. A small pair of eyes sit between the bomb and torso and the Pet Bombling will make sounds when walking or clicked.
