Pet Costume: Wonder Woman Dog
The Wonder Woman dog costume looks adorable on small, girl dogs, especially ones with long, hanging ears that resemble hair. Complete with head band and lasso, you and your pup will be drooling over this cute costume. Keep in mind, however, that the official costume is more expensive than some of the more generic super dog costumes.
For the Wonder Woman costume visit Brands on Sale or at Costume Craze . Or visit: Target Pet Costumes .
Pet Costume: Superman Dog
The Superman Dog Costume is hugely popular on the web this year and is available at several site in a number of sizes. In fact, there are so many of these stuffed front body costumes available that they're a major sale item for the season, selling for under $10 at some pet costume sites such as Costume Kindgom (limited time offer), or at Brands on Sale.
Brands on Sale also has a second type of Superman Dog costume available. While the previously mentioned costume had a stuffed body at the front that connected to the dog's front paws as boots, this second costume is actually worn fully on the dog's midsection as a Superman shirt and cape. Check out this model at Brands on Sale .
Pet Costume: Spider-man Dog
While several spider-dog costumes were available on the web, the Spider-man Dog costume was somewhat harder to find. The Spider-man costume comes complete with a full body costume that fits like a long-sleeve frontal body suit in blue and red. It also comes with a head band that resembles Spider-man's mask. This costume is also available at this link: Brands on Sale . However, this same costume is also available at Pinatas for under $9.
Pet Costume: Batman Dog
What dog doesn't want to sneak about at night, catching bad guys? The Batman Dog costume is available in a number of variations, from a classic gray-style costume inspired by Justice League to a new, Dark Knight version. Each variation comes with an adorable headband complete with bat ears, as well as a classic cape.
Brands on Sale has a classic Batman body-suit version of the costume as well as the Deluxe Dark Knight costume that fits like a stuffed front body costume with little booties over your pup's front paws. (They even have an excellent Robin costume available, if you have more than one dog in need of a costume.) You can find their costumes at this link: Batman Pet Costumes .
Costume Kingdom has three variations available, including the two previously mentioned costumes, as well as a third variation. This variation is a gray classic costume, but it has a stuffed front body. These costumes are available at this link: TV and Movie Pet Costumes .
Also, Costume Craze has several of these variations available, as well as a different take on the Robin costume. Currently, the Dark Knight costume is on sale at this site. Visit these costumes at Pet Costumes on Costume Craze .
Target has a variation from the animated The Brave and The Bold Batman series, as well as a gray style stuffed body version: Target Pet Costumes .
Pet Costume: Underdog and Other Hero Pets
Other costumes are popular on the web, such as the patriotic Wonderdog costume and the Superdog and Wondermutt costumes. A favorite that has been hugely overlooked by online costume makers is the Underdog costume, based on the popular cartoon/movie super dog. One site where you can get more info on making an Underdog costume is Underdog Costumes .
The basic Underdog costume is rather easy to make at home. To make the project even easier, look for a red dog shirt in stores. Once you obtain a shirt, it's only a matter cutting out and sewing a large white U on the chest. Then, cut out a blue cape and attach by tying or with Velcro over the shoulders of the red shirt.
Note: Always make sure your animal is comfortable wearing a costume before dressing it for Halloween.
Also, always weigh your animal before selecting a size.

Good ideas!
My kids loved your ideas for dressing up the dog. Our poor little Molly dog will be tortured this Halloween. Good ideas!
Such cute ideas! Nice job!
Fun suggestions :)
cute :)
Robert, these costumes don't use actual masks (probably because dogs would hate something that covered their eye area), but head bands that sit in front of the dog's ears that resemble masks. They're proportionate to the costume and usually clasp with velco or have a stretchy band beneath the chin.
Betty, I know what you mean :D It all depends on the dog. Buy a cheap doggie shirt at a dollar store and try it before putting money into a costume. Some dogs love dress up (I have a friend who's dog poses--personally, I think she just recognizes the extra attention she gets when she's cute), and some hate it. You'll know soon enough what side Fido is on, haha.
Underdog and Superdog, how can you go wrong with those two. Although I don't know how I feel about forcing poor Fido into costume!
