PET Ice Cream Review

Amy Brantley
Who doesn't love ice cream? While I've tried many different brands throughout my life, PET is one that sticks out the most. I remember this brand from my early childhood and that makes the brand even more special. But, childhood memories aren't enough to make a product something you buy on a regular basis. There has to be something more. What is it that makes PET Ice Cream so special?

PET Ice Cream Review: Taste

PET Ice Cream has such a wonderful taste. When it comes to brand name ice cream, other than premium, PET has the best vanilla available. Of course, vanilla is the base of many of PET's flavors. This means that many of their flavors are far superior to other similarly priced brands on the shelf. The flavor of PET Ice Cream is rich, creamy, and high quality.

PET Ice Cream Review: Flavors

PET Ice Cream comes in a variety of different flavors. The regular flavors are Butter Pecan, Cherry Vanilla, Vanilla, Cookies N' Cream, Chocolate, Black Walnut, Strawberry, French Vanilla, Heavenly Hash, Nutty Buddy Cone Crunch, Vanilla & Chocolate, Vanilla & Orange, and Neapolitan. The Signature Collection offers Chocolate Cream Pudding Pie, Birthday Cake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Mississippi Mud Pie, Ice Cream Sandwich, Graham Central Station, Southern Caramel, Vanilla Bean, Rocky Road, Nuttin' But Turtles, Peach, and Moose Tracks. The Country Churn flavors are Black Sweet Cherry, Banana Caramel Pecan, Brown Mule, Butter Pecan, Chocolate, Moose Tracks, Neapolitan, and Vanilla.

PET Ice Cream Review: Nutrition Facts

A serving of PET Ice Cream is ½ a cup. A serving of the regular vanilla flavor has 140 calories, 70 fat calories, 8 grams of fat, 5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, 20mg of cholesterol, 45mg of sodium, 16 grams of carbohydrates, 0 grams of fiber, 14 grams of sugar, 2 grams of protein, 6% of your daily Vitamin A, and 6% your daily calcium.

PET Ice Cream Review: Price

A half gallon of PET Ice Cream will cost around $4.60. To be honest, I never pay full price for ice cream. I always wait for a sale and pay less than $2.50. To me, $2.50 is a great price. Also, be sure to look in your Sunday paper for coupons.

PET Ice Cream Review: Satisfaction Rating

I would have to give PET Ice Cream 5 stars. This product is rich, creamy, comes in a large variety of flavors, and doesn't have too many calories. If you haven't tried this brand, I highly recommend doing so.
