Pet Product Review: John Paul Pet Full Body & Paw Bath Wipes

Clever Shopper
I have recently discovered a fantastic line of pet products for our long haired Australian Silky Terrier. Our locally owned pet specialty store started carrying products made by John Paul Pet, John Paul being the co-founder of Paul Mitchell products, which are found in hair salons everywhere.

Full Body & Paw Bath Wipes

The wipes are packaged in a plastic white tub, with a large blue paw print in the center. It contains 45 wipes, and the label says the products are cruelty free and test on humans first.

The cloths are scented with perfume, and quite thick, and measure 8 inches by 6 inches.

The package says this about these wipes: Our premoistened wipes are specially formulated to help groom and clean your pet whether after playtime or for a quick cleanup. Also helps remove loose hairs and dander from coat.

Ingredients

Water, methylparaben, butylparaben, ethylparaben, isobutylparaben, propylparaben, phenoxyethanol, polysorbate 20, fragrance, aloe vera gel, and lanolin.

Directions

Massage into fur avoiding eyes and ears. Simply use Full Body & Paw Wipes between baths. Repeat for extra cleaning.

Thoughts

Although I'm not crazy about all of the parabens included in this product, these wipes sure come in handy on occasion. Last summer I purchased a package of pop up wipes made specifically for dogs, but they were so thin they were useless.

These wipes are very cloth like and hold up to a good scrubbing, even of my Silky's feet! She doesn't mind my using them on her either, which is a big plus.

They are so easy to use, I washed my Silky with one of these wipes last week. She was getting her fur cut that morning (I have to have her at the groomers before 9 am) and I didn't want to take her with dirty fur, but I also didn't have time to put her in the sink and bathe her.

The fragrance is quite strong on the wipe, but doesn't smell overly strong on my dog after I am finished cleaning her up. It's a light, sweet, perfume fragrance, one that reminds me of how our dog smells when she returns from the dog groomers. The smell also lingers for a few hours, and it sure beats the doggy smell she gets from time to time.

The cloths are so durable that when I need to clean my dogs feet I always clean her coat first, then I go to work on her feet. One towelette or wipe does the entire job without breaking or tearing.

Obviously one or two wipes are not going to get your pet as clean as a good shampoo, but they do help remove surface dirt, and clean up our pets small paws nicely.

They come out of the canister very easily, and the tub of 45 lasts a long time when used just occasionally - long enough to warrant spending $14.00.

We have been happy with the performance of John Paul Pet Full Body & Paw Bath Wipe.

JPPet supports the ethical and humane treatment of all animals, and a portion of the profits go to these causes.

I have a great dane and I can't get her in the tub at home so I have to take her to the groomers often @ at least $30+ a visit. Gets kind of expensive!! But since finding the John Paul products for pets... it's saved me a ton of money! This entire product line is great!!

We use a wipe though a different brand. Can't remember which one at the moment but this one doesn't sound familiar. Thanks!
