Pet Stars: The Rising Fame of Hollywood

Dog has always been man's best friend. Perhaps pets are now becoming everybody's best friends as they are hitting magazine ads, commercials, movies, and television shows everywhere. The beginnings of this craze can perhaps be linked way back in the "golden years" when there was Mr. Ed, the talking horse.

According to a survey from 2005-2006 National Pet Owners, pets are on the rise with households across the United States. During that survey, nearly 63% of households owned pets, which is something that can truly connect people together with that one common interest. Of that 63%, there were 73 million who owned dogs, 90 million cats, and 16 million birds. This survey represents why pets are loved so dearly which in returns creates them to be the stars that they are.

Now through the internet, and other popular brand names, there are also pet stars who are on the rise. One new pet, Bocker, who is a Labradoodle, is becoming one of those most popular dogs at this time. Bocker has his own very website , which has known to already have over 65,000 visitors. He even has a plush toy that has been designed after him, and children all over are asking for this cute stuffed animal. Bocker has appeared in ads for Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren Polo, Avanti greeting cards, Carpet One, Getty Images and KingSize Direct. He even had a guest spot on Good Morning America. Bocker is also a loving companion who shares his love to others in charitable events as well.

Some other ways that pets are making their beginning stardoms is through the video network YouTube.com . Households throughout the world are showcasing some of their favorite pets and tricks. One well known dog who has captured the heart of many viewers of You Tube is Oscar the Boxer. It is clear that his owner just adores him as there are videos such as his first swim, Oscar's date, and even one where he is mimicking the sounds of a fire engine. Oscar lives in Buenos Aires, in Argentina and has over 408 subscribers and has had over 19, 992 views on his channel. Clearly, this puppy has stolen the hearts of several people clear across the world, and perhaps he could be the next pet star of the internet.

Another famous pet on You Tube is the talking bird, Riley. Riley is a talking pet who is just as sweet as he can be with a huge vocabulary. Of course, he's not quite as famous as cute Oscar, he has had 5,634 visitors with 273 subscribers. For those who love birds and especially love hearing them talk, viewers will love listening to Riley.

Pet lovers can also vote for their favorite pet stars at the Animal Planet through watching videos and their latest pet tricks. On of the most watched videos is of the bird, Einstein, who can mimic several animal sounds.

Throughout the years, animals have become hit stars in Disney movies such as "The Shaggy Dog," "Lady and the Tramp," 101 Dalmatians, Homeward Bound, Milo and Otis, and many great more films. A new show that is about to hit the big screen, "Underdog," is about a talking dog who has the powers of a superhero.

With the rising popularity of pets, and it also being a common trend to bring people together, animals is truly something that can bring a lot of love to the big screen in Hollywood and throughout the internet. Without pets or their everlasting love, people wouldn't really know the true lesson of companionship-and that is definitely one lesson that animals can teach throughout their debut in Hollywood, magazine and television ads, and across the internet.
