Pet Stuff Resale is a unique Houston company that buys, sells, and even rents pet supplies. So if your puppy has outgrown his crate, you can sell it to Pet Stuff Resale (PSR). It's also a great way to obtain dog supplies if you're going to foster a dog because when you're done, you can turn around and sell it back to Pet Stuff Resale. The best part is that you don't have to worry about cleaning the pet products; *Pet Stuff Resale disinfects all products prior to being sold. (*PSR will either hold or suggest that the customer hold all carpeted cat items in isolation for 90 days as it cannot be totally disinfected).

So who is behind this great idea?

Janet Huey is a one-woman operation and she does not just operate Pet Stuff Resale, she also rescues dogs and is a veterinarian liaison for CAP (the Citizens for Animal Protection). Huey sells her pet products during the weekends in front of the Greater Good Spay/Neuter Clinic located at 11915 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX, 77079. Cash and checks are accepted - no credit cards.

Which products are most popular?

Most of Pet Stuff Resale's products are dog crates but they also have aquariums and cat furniture. Customers are what drive the products availability. Please note: Pet Stuff Resale does not sell choke collars, invisible fencing, used bird or reptile perches.

How did Pet Stuff Resale Get Started?

Janet Huey thought of the idea while working at Petco in 1997. Customers Huey encountered did not know what to do with their pet supplies once their pets outgrew them or passed away. Huey is fond of recycling programs and thought Pet Stuff Resale would be the perfect opportunity to help those in need and recycle at the same time. Today, most of Huey's customers come from word of mouth through groomers, rescue groups, and veterinarians.

So how does Huey feel after 12 years of being in the pet product resale business?

"I have not had one day where I woke up and didn't want to go to work."
