PETA Hates Sexy Chicken Pose

Karen Barnes
PETA has decided that a sexy chicken picture the NYT used in an article is unethical and cruel to chickens. A dead chicken which is now nude and without a head isn't going to care how it sits for a photo shoot. The dead chicken in the picture the NYT used is just that, dead. It was raised as a food source, used as a photo op, and served it's purpose for which it was raised.

Chickens aren't pets. They shouldn't be given as pets. Chickens are raised for one of two things PETA. They are raised as a source of eggs most of the population eats in one form or another. Chickens are raised to be slaughtered in the fashion they are these days as a meat food source.

PETA should take a moment to realize even their ancestors killed animals as a source of food and a way to save their crops from predators such as wolves and squirrels. What they don't realize is their will be meat eaters as long as their are animals and people living on Earth.

In the 1800s it would have been as big of a sin to let the meat from an animal that was shot and killed due to it causing danger to livestock, humans, and crops as Christians feel about gays. Neither attitude towards meat eaters and gays are something that need to beaten with a stick because of what two lifestyles believe is right.

Now back to PETA. PETA is now all up in arms over a chicken posed in a sexy manner in a story the New York Times covered. Seriously, PETA you are going to get all angry over a dead chicken that was in a photo? You folks do realize there are cats and dogs stuffed in trash bags and thrown along side of the road because the owners didn't want any further pets hanging around the house? You do realize this is still happening and these pets that are discarded this way aren't raised as a food source? You do get that, don't you PETA?

Yet, you want to cry foul on a fowl photo in the NYT. So what would you do if a group arose for the ethical treatment for plants; specifically vegetables and fruits? You know the food sources you say many of your members eat. You wouldn't like that one bit.

Food sources are just that PETA; food sources whether it be animal or vegetable. We all have to eat to stay alive. Even animals eat other animals to stay alive. Animals eat vegetation to stay alive. Sometimes animals even eat humans who are in their territories. Yes, PETA, animals have in the past and still eat humans. What do you plan to do about that? I suspect nothing at all because you would say the human that was attacked and eaten deserved it.

Before you attack me for thinking you overreacted to a picture, stop to think how silly all this is because you don't eat meat? If you don't want to live in a country where chickens are shown as a sexy food source, you may want to consider packing your bags and move to a deserted island without any power, running water, and the amenities you use every day.

I suspect after two days of living so far off the grid, you will be happy to come back to a civilization, even if it's in a third world country, where meat eaters are more civilized than the animals you met while living in seclusion.
