Pete Carroll Goes Back to the NFL

Pete Carroll already tried this once but he could not turn down the urge to try again. You would have to be crazy to leave the situation he left at USC. It would have made sense for him to go back to the NFL for the perfect situation but the Seahawks are far from perfect. The Seahawks have key pieces in place but not enough key pieces to make any sane man want to leave USC. It is completely understandable if Pete Carroll sees major violations coming down the pipe at USC but I think it will make him look even worse if USC gets penalized for past sins committed under Carroll's tenure and he does not stay around to guide the ship through troubled waters. I think Pete Carroll's second welcome to the NFL moment will come during his second season. If he struggles his first season he is going to forget where he is and hit the recruiting trail only to remember that it takes millions of dollars to sign top notch players and not just program prestige. I know there has got to be somebody out there who is already putting up a wager regarding who will stay at their respective programs longer, Carroll or Kiffin. I won't be surprised if both are looking for jobs in 3 years.
