I think it is ridiculous that we as Americans are so consumed with the passing of this " Pedophiling Celeb". We are at war, losing men and women to this fight everyday and all you see on the news is Michael Jackson. So what. Do we actually care that he is dead or are we more consumed with the "Circus" that his passing has brought. Why don't we remember the victims that he has left behind and the families that he has destroyed. Give them some air tim on Fox and CNN.
I guess I can't blame the media for sucking up all the attention on this story that they can, because let's face it, without this story the media would be forced to talk about stories and current events that are actually important and affecting us in a negative way. Go Obama!!! I guess human interest and the need for the gossip will keep the media giants in business, then again it keeps this site up and running.
Let's face it though, Michael Jackson wasn't a good man and was no where near being a humanitarian. He had a lot of "fuzzy" issues surrounding his fame, regardless if they were ever proven in the court of law or not. Yah so he paved the way for the music industry, but the truth of the matter is, if he wouldn't have, there would have been someone else that would have. They do not call him "Wack-O-Jacko" for nothing folks.
I commend you Mr. Steven King for standing up and saying to the media and to the public the things you did. I know there are millions of other people out there, like me, that are grateful we still have a polotician out there who recognizes a "Pervert" when they see one. A polotician who is not afraid to stand up and voice their opinion, when their opinion is in the minority. Keep it up Mr.King. I applaud you and commend you for "Spitting The Truth". There are alot of people out there who need to follow your lead.
